University College Birmingham - South Schools and Colleges Taster Day

Get hands on - Get inspired - Get to know Birmingham

We welcome Sixth Forms and Colleges to bring Year 12 and 13 students to experience our unique Taster Day where students will get a feel for our UCB campus, facilities and student experience. Students can select two hands-on subject tasters delivered by industry experts across Business and Enterprise, Food, Hospitality and Tourism, Creative Industries, Computing, Engineering and Built Environment, Sport, Health and Social Science disciplines. 

For groups of 10 or more students, we can reimburse travel costs up to £20 per attending student (to be claimed after the event).

We also appreciate that it may not always be possible for a teacher to accompany students. Where permission is given by the school, college and/or teacher, individual students are welcome to book and attend the event independently on behalf of their school or college (we can reimburse up to £50 per individual student if public transport is used).

• 10:30:  Arrival/Welcome Talk
• 11.30 - 12.30: Session 1
• 12:30 - 13:15: Lunch  (FREE OF CHARGE)
• 13:30 - 14:30 Session 2
• 14:35 - 15:15 Tour
• 15:15 - 15:30 Wrap Up and Farewell
